Made-to-measure furniture in instalments with TBI Bank: how it works 2026

Pay for your Téchne furniture in 4 to 60 instalments through TBI Bank. See who is eligible, the checkout steps and what happens after you apply online.

A wall-to-wall wardrobe, a full dressing room or the furniture for an entire room are purchases you make rarely and use for many years. That is why many customers asked whether they could spread the payment over several months. Now they can: at checkout on technefurniture.com you will find the "Instalments with TBI Bank" option, with an online application started straight from your cart.

This guide explains, step by step, who can use the option, what the checkout flow looks like, what happens after you submit the application and how to plan your order so it lands exactly where you intended.

In short: what you need to know

Number of instalments: you choose between 4, 6, 12, 24, 36, 48 or 60.
Minimum order value: 300 lei.
Who it is for: private individuals, with delivery in Romania.
Where you apply: online, in a few minutes — you start in the Téchne checkout and complete the application on the TBI Bank page.
Who provides the financing: TBI Bank Romania, subject to approval. Téchne is not a lender and does not make the credit decision.

You will see the option flagged in three places: on the home page, under the price on product pages and in the payment step of the checkout. Next to each mention there is a link to the financing General Conditions.

Who can pay in instalments

The conditions below are checked automatically by the site, so you never reach the bank's page with an application that cannot be accepted:

The order is worth at least 300 lei. If you remove products and the total drops below the threshold, the option disappears from the list of payment methods.
Delivery is in Romania. The Téchne checkout accepts addresses in other countries too, but TBI consumer credit is granted only for orders delivered in Romania.
You order as a private individual. If the "Company, VAT ID" field is filled in on your billing address, instalments are not available. Clear the field or choose another payment method.
For factory pickup you need a complete billing address (your home address), because in that case the order's shipping address is the factory in Tulcea.
One application at a time. While the bank is reviewing an application for your order, you cannot submit a second one for the same order.

The checkout steps

Configure and add to cart. Build your piece in the configurator or arrange several cabinets in the Room Planner and send them to the cart together.
Fill in your contact details and address. The shipping cost is calculated for your address and is part of the order total — and therefore of the amount you apply for.
Under "Payment method" choose "Instalments with TBI Bank". The other options remain available: bank card or bank transfer.
Pick the number of instalments from the list. The selector starts at 12 and you can change it freely.
Press "Place order and continue to TBI Bank". Your order is registered with Téchne and you are redirected to the bank's page.
Complete the application on the TBI Bank page. There you fill in the details the bank requires and receive all the information about the credit before you sign anything.

A practical detail: the connection to the bank can take up to two minutes. During this time you see the message "Redirecting you to TBI Bank…" — do not close the page and do not press back. The order is already registered; if a technical problem occurs, you are brought back to the checkout with a clear message and can choose another payment method.

What happens after you apply

From this point on, the decision belongs to the bank. There are three possible situations for your order:

The application is under review. The order waits for the bank's answer. It does not go into production yet, because made-to-measure furniture is manufactured specifically for you, to your dimensions.
The credit is approved. The Téchne team contacts you to confirm the order, which then follows the usual flow: production, packing, delivery.
The credit is not approved, or you drop out along the way. The order is not lost: you can continue with another payment method, such as a bank transfer, or cancel it.

What you will NOT find in this article

We do not publish interest rates, APR or instalment amounts here. The reason is simple: the cost of a loan depends on the bank's financial product, the amount financed and the period you choose, and that information must come from the lender, in the form required by law. You receive it from TBI Bank, on the application page, before you sign the contract. Read it carefully and compare the total amount payable with the order price — it is the only fair comparison.

The credit agreement is concluded between you and TBI Bank. Téchne remains responsible for everything related to the furniture: production, delivery, warranty and support.

How to plan your order when paying in instalments

Instalments do not change the price of the furniture, but they change how you can organise your project. A few ideas that work:

Order the whole room at once. In the Room Planner you place every cabinet in the room, check that they fit together and send them to the cart in one go. One order means one delivery and one assembly session, instead of three stages spread over a year.
Watch the price in real time. The configurator recalculates the price with every change. You immediately see what an extra row of drawers, a different front material or ten more centimetres of depth costs.
Invest in what you cannot change later. Dimensions, internal layout and front material stay with you for years. Accessories — a trouser rack, an LED hanging rail — can be added later from the shop, for example from the hanging rails collection.
Do not forget shipping and assembly. Shipping is calculated at checkout for your address and is part of the order total. Assembly is an optional service, quoted separately — you can do it yourself or hire a certified independent installer, whom you pay directly.

Can I pay part by card and the rest in instalments?

No. An order has a single payment method; the financing application covers the order total, shipping included.

Can I order as a company and pay in instalments?

No. The financing is consumer credit for private individuals. For company orders, card payment and bank transfer remain available.

I live outside Romania. Can I use instalments?

No. The option appears only for orders with a shipping address in Romania.

What if I change my mind after being redirected to the bank?

If you do not complete the application, no credit agreement is concluded. The order remains registered with Téchne and the team contacts you to decide together how to continue: another payment method or cancellation.

Where do I find the financing conditions?

The "General Conditions" link appears next to the TBI option — on the home page, on product pages and in the checkout. The personalised details of the offer come from the bank during the application.
